U13's Dominate Suffolk
The U13 county team took part in the County team challenge at Mildenhall. They had a tough start against Essex and Hertfordshire being defeated in both. However there were some good scores in the singles and girls doubles where we narrowly lost some close games.
With Bedfordshire pulling out last minute, the derby against Suffolk was the match they were hungry for a win; they did this confidently and in style. Liam Bond started the ball rolling in his singles with winning straight in two sets. James Salter and Beth Underwood our number one seeds played well with worthy wins in 3 sets. Atlanta Harrison completed the success in the singles with winning hers in two.
Our young boy’s doubles pair of Callum Cox and George Underwood, who both have another two seasons in this age group; played a very impressive two sets narrowly losing 18.21 and 18.21. Next Annaliese Gray and Alice Skippings stepped up to make it a convincing 5.1 victory to Norfolk, winning their doubles in three sets.
